The Scope of the Shipping Container Dome Project

DB Schenker asked us to design, manufacture and install a custom undercover laydown yard for their Brisbane site. The design of the shipping container dome required two 18m x 24m containers complete with full end walls, while we modified one container for use as a site office.

The Different Challenges We Encountered

We had to source and locate 6 x 40ft shipping containers, including one with modifications that suited operation as a site office, while the hold-downs needed to be concrete-free and fully certified. The necessary additions to the site office included:

  • Power
  • Lighting
  • Windows
  • PA door
  • Air conditioning

The Final Outcome of the Project

Our team used Securepier concrete-free container anchors, which ensured compliance with all site requirements when securing the dome shelters. We completed the project on time and within budget, with zero reported safety incidents. DB Schenker expressed their complete satisfaction with our team and the result.
