Built for Western Australia’s Toughest Conditions
Western Australia experiences some of the country’s most demanding wind conditions, and some of the most remote industrial sites.
That’s why part of WA, including the Pilbara, Kimberley and northwest coast, falls within Wind Region D, the highest classification under AS/NZS 1170.2:2021. Wherever your site sits, that’s the standard our shelters are engineered and certified to.
Region D structures are certified to regional wind speeds up to 69 m/s and design gusts of 80 m/s, roughly 250 km/h, the same standard we apply to shelters bound for the Pilbara, the Kimberley and WA’s northwest coast.
Every dome is manufactured in-house at our Yandina, Sunshine Coast facility and freighted to your site, wherever in WA that is.
Engineered for the Realities of WA
WA projects come with challenges that go well beyond the strength of the wind in the region. Remote locations, difficult site access, strict site requirements, hot works restrictions and the need to keep operations moving all have to be considered before a shelter even reaches the site.
That’s exactly the environment our weld-free Twistlock Mount System was designed for: no welding, no damage to a container you don’t own, and no permit delays holding up your project.
We’ve delivered to sites across the Pilbara, including a 2 x 10m x 12m Region D installation for a urea plant near Karratha, which was engineered and certified before it ever left our Yandina facility. That’s the same process we will run for your unique WA site.
