Initial and Ongoing Inspection: Your First Line Of Defence

Your first inspection should be carried out three months after installation, then annually from that point forward. This schedule allows you to identify any settling or early issues shortly after the dome is commissioned, and then stay on top of ongoing condition through regular annual checks. 1. Check Your Fabric Cover 

Check that the fabric cover maintains consistent tension across the frame without sagging between members. Check end wall fabric for tears and mounting integrity. Verify doors and gates operate smoothly with proper alignment and closure. Inspect lighting and electrical systems for safety compliance, and clear any gutter blockages to ensure proper drainage.

Common Issues And When To Act

Water Intrusion 

Water entering the structure typically comes from degraded base rail silicone strips, end wall mounting gaps, cover punctures, or blocked gutters. Locate the source through systematic inspection during rainfall or using hose testing. Replace degraded silicone strips promptly to restore waterproof integrity.

Fabric Movement Or Noise 

Excessive fabric movement or noise in wind indicates inadequate tension, loose connections, or structural deflection. The fabric should remain relatively stable in normal wind conditions.
