The CDA Team Design and Install a Custom Container Dome for Liberty One Steel’s Whyalla Steelworks
Container Domes Australia successfully won the tender to design, manufacture and install a custom Container Dome Set-up for Liberty One Steel’s Whyalla Site in South Australia.
The 30m wide Dome was mounted to the outside edge of the containers allowing a clear span of 25m in-between and measuring a massive 126m in length, the structure has 20 high cube 40ft shipping containers.
To enclose the set-up, a standard Full End Wall was added to the rear of the Container Dome and a purpose-built front entrance End Wall was designed to include two Emergency Exit /PA Doors and a High-Speed Roller Door.
The Container Dome set-up also includes LED and emergency lighting systems, fire safety system and additional emergency exits on each side of the structure.
Our qualified and fully ticketed Installation Team oversaw all works on-site, including all civil and electrical works, with zero safety incidents reported during the project.
