The Scope of Works
Container Domes Australia was engaged to manufacture and install two 15m wide x 12m long domes for a client’s storage and maintenance yard in Dalby, QLD, incorporating an alternative container layout design to suit site-specific operational and spatial requirements.
The project was delivered in two stages, completed approximately one year apart. Container placement was undertaken by the client, with Container Domes Australia responsible for the dome design, manufacture, and installation.
The Challenges
Due to the size of the equipment being stored, the site required a unique container layout for both container domes. 40ft containers would be used on the outside of the set-up with single 20ft and two dangerous goods containers in the centre. Both container domes would need to span a 6m wide gap between the 20ft and DG containers.
The SOLUTION
The Container Domes Australia design team implemented targeted modifications to our standard 15m wide x 12m long container dome design to provide adequate structural support across the 6m span.
During installation, the Container Domes Australia installation team further adapted the base rails on site to ensure precise alignment with the container corner castings, delivering a secure, compliant, and fully integrated solution within the customised layout.
