The Scope of Works
Container Domes Australia was engaged by global logistics leader DB Schenker to design, manufacture, and install a fully customised, undercover laydown yard at their Brisbane facility. The solution was tailored to support DB Schenker’s operational efficiency and site functionality.
The Challenges
- Sourcing and deploying six 40ft containers, including the conversion of one into a compliant site office.
- Designing a structural anchoring solution that avoided traditional concrete foundations.
- Ensuring all infrastructure met strict compliance and safety standards.
The SOLUTION
Container Domes Australia delivered two 18m x 24m container-mounted domes with full end walls, reaching a height of 7.5m when installed on standard 40ft general purpose containers. One container was custom-modified to serve as a fully functional site office, complete with power, lighting, PA door, windows, and air conditioning.
Container Domes Australia implemented SecurePier concrete-free anchoring systems, enabling rapid installation without compromising on structural integrity or compliance.
